Compact Fluorescent Lamps, also known as CFLs, are designed to replace standard incandescent lamps. CFLs have several advantages over incandescent bulbs; most notably, they use only 1/3 as much electricity and last roughly 10 times longer. CFLs produce light through a spiral shape tube, and contain an electronic ballast located in the base of the lamp. CFLs are a good choice for an environmentally conscious consumer with a limited budget. Please dispose of all CFL products in accordance with EPA guidelines (link provided below).
